Grant Town Agricultural Seed Project (G.T.A.S.P.)

African-American and Latino-American children have a 66% chance of developing childhood-diabetes.

Children growing up in food deserts have little to no access to fruits or vegetables of any kind and typically subsist on processed and fast foods. With G.T.A.S.P., Grant Town will be partnering with elementary schools to install hydroponic container farms on school property in an effort to not only provide fresh, organic produce to children, but to instill an understanding of healthy eating habits and an appreciation for where food comes from.
